In memory of Gavriil Legatos

On the 27th of December 2013 we had to say a final farewell to Gavriil Legatos.

Gavriil was born and lived all his life in Athens, Greece. He was a good husband, a beloved father, a gifted man, an excellent secondary school teacher and a great athlete. In addition to all of that, he was also a pioneer who played an important role in the establishment of the European Transplant and Dialysis Sports Federation and through his commitment he has made a difference in the lives of many people across Europe and his legacy will live on for many years to come.

For many years he was the Team Manager and Country Representative for the Greek Dialysis and Transplant Team. He participated in many World Transplant Games and European Transplant and Dialysis Games in swimming. With his unselfish personality he set us all an example and he was always ready to help those in need. He was committed to the development of ETDSF and concerned about transplant and dialysis sport.

We all miss him and he will always remain in our hearts and in our memories.
